I've only been home from Charleston for a few days and there's already so much I miss about that charming city. But there's one thing I definitely don't… the humidity. Y'all, I thought DC was bad. Not sure why I was so surprised this time around, because this definitely wasn't my first visit to Chucktown. I've learned trip after trip to prepare myself for the weather and pack clothes that would do well in the high heat and humid temps.

I wore today's outfit the last day of our trip. I knew we'd spend the majority of our time inside, so I wanted to have one look with pants since I tend to get cold quite easily. Yet I knew we'd take a few breaks outside, and end the day walking around the city before heading to the airport. So a semi monochromatic look instantly came to mind. I wanted a light color, with lightweight fabrics. This would also help from showing sweat stains, ha!

I paired this lilac peplum top with my favorite white skinnies, and then dressed up the outfit with fun accessories. Speaking of this top, it comes in three colors and is super versatile. Perfect for a casual afternoon on vacation, or pair with slacks or a skirt for the office. I'm going to get the black one next, so I can carry this top into the fall and winter months. This is definitely a top you should add to your closet as well, and Ann Taylor is making it even easier since it's on MAJOR sale!

    1. You definitely should! I know how much you love Ann Taylor/Loft :) It's perfect for casual or dress it up! And Lydell is having something funky go on with their site right now, but you can probably search for it on another site somewhere.
