Beach Week: Off to Key West!

Tomorrow's the day y'all!!

I'm literally scrambling around trying to get everything in order to head off to Key West in the morning. Our flight leaves at 6:00 a.m. (eekkkk!!), but I know neither of us will mind because we're going to be so excited.

In case you missed this week's earlier posts, I'll be heading down to Key West this weekend with one of my besties, Jenn. We both desperately need a girls getaway, so a few weeks ago we schemed up a last minute vacay to The Florida Keys.

So for today's post, I'm giving you a little insight into what I'll be packing + sharing a few details about what we'll be doing! First up... a little packing roundup:

Key West Packing List

When it comes to packing for trips, I try my best to prepare as much as I can and take only the necessities. I don't want to over pack so I can be sure to save room for souvenirs. As hard as I try to plan, this never.ever.happens, ha! I somehow always end up being the girl with the most luggage. Whoops. But for this trip, I had to condense. Mostly, to save money. #broke

On the bright side, we don't need a lot. We'll be spending most of our time poolside or exploring the Keys, so the majority of my clothing will be swimsuits, shorts and tanks, with a few other items mixed in.

Some of the major packing essentials though were of course a pool float for the infamous Instagram snapshot, my four charge iPhone battery, a few good reads, a waterproof case for my phone when jet skiing, a stylish beach towel and tote, and of course a fun hat! I'll be sharing more about this pom pom straw hat later, but had to give you a sneak peek! How fun is this?! And you can personalize them!! AHH! I can't wait to wear this pool and ocean side all summer long!

Jenn and I are eager to experience all Key West has to offer. We'll be hitting up all the major touristy spots of course, and eating our weight in seafood. But we're excited to try some fun activities like a jet ski tour, parasailing, snorkeling and a sunset catamaran cruise. We'll be taking y'all with us on our journey, so be sure to follow along on Instagram (here's Jenn's too) and snapchat (kroyster815 and jennrog3).

Oh, and if you have any suggestions on things we can't miss, leave those in the comments below!

  1. I hope you have the best time! I've lived in Florida for so long and still haven't made it down to the Keys. One of these days I'll make the trek!
