Marsala -- The Color of Fall

Marsala

When it comes to choosing the official color for a season, we turn to Pantone for what that will be. The official Pantone fashion color report has a large influence on the pieces you'll see in stores that season.

If you aren't familiar with the fall 2015 report, you can learn more about it here. I'm sure you won't be surprised at the color palette, as most brands and designers have incorporated these colors in their fall collection. You've probably already noticed several of these colors popping up in stores and online right now.

Marsala, or as I like to call it, Merlot... is the official color for fall 2015.

I'm obsessed with this color. Not just because I enjoy a great glass of wine or that it was one of the official colors of my sorority. It's just a beautiful shade to wear for fall. It's kind of a mix between red and brown, almost burgundy. Think of your favorite glass of red wine... that's it!

I shared a few pieces in my Fall Fashion Staples post last week, and many of y'all loved the Marsala colored bag and blazer. So I thought why not share more?! Grab a glass of Merlot and shop some of my favorite pieces above and below (heyy, that rhymes, ha!).

Isn't that another name for Oxblood, the color of the year just two or three years ago? lol

    But it's pretty, nonetheless!
