Follow Friday - June 12

Wow, what a week y'all! So sorry that I have been a little MIA this week, blog wise. The whole month of June is crazy, but this week especially is jam-packed. I have family in town all week, and then two sorority sisters coming into DC for the weekend! So I wanted to be able to devote my full attention to having fun and hanging out with them. Not to worry though, I'll be back next week with all new posts and recaps from the fun things we've been doing!

So without further adieu, let's get right into this week's Follow Friday... featuring one of my favorite Etsy shops, best friend + blogger, one of my favorite local boutiques and a fellow Tennessean who's a friend and fashion blogger!

First up, one of my favorite Etsy shops... perfect for all you Girl Bosses and hostesses!

@studio_pep // I stumbled upon this Etsy shop while I was searching for decorations for my friend Ashton's Bridal Shower. I was immediately obsessed!! They have the most amazing decor I've seen and offer a plethora of items to choose from. Everything from flamingo cupcake toppers, to ice cream shaped balloons, to mini banners that are perfect for your desktop computer. I want it ALL!! She even has a pineapple balloon!! Perfect for your summer parties and totally on trend right now.

I ordered one of their sparkly large banners for my friend's shower, and everyone raved over it! I'm really excited to announce that I have a fun collaboration with Studio Pep coming soon! I'm going to be reorganizing and decorating my desk area, and will be adding some awesome Studio Pep touches to the design. Cannot wait to share with y'all soon!!

So I highly recommend you follow Studio Pep + checkout their Etsy shop. Adrianne (the shop owner) is the sweetest and so excited about every customer she works with. The turnaround from purchase to doorstep is super quick too. Now all you have to do is come up with an idea for your next party to host!

@jennrog // The greatest thing about blogging is that I get to meet so many new people. I've become quite close with many of the fellow bloggers I've met along the way. One of them in particular is Jennifer Rogers from Southern Anchors Blog.

Jenn and I met at the winter Blogger Scene (if you live in the DC area, you should definitely look into attending one of these "parties with a purpose") and immediately hit it off. Our personalities are pretty much identical. She's basically the brunette version of me. It's great! We've become super close, even outside of blogging (she's a great matchmaker I hear ;)), and she's one of the lovely friends traveling with me to Charleston in a few weeks. I'm sure there will be lots of "twinning" instagram pics to come out of that weekend!

Any who, y'all should definitely follow Jenn because she seriously has the CUTEST outfits and finds the most unique accessories! She loves bright colors and tassels, so you'll love seeing what new outfit of the day Jenn comes up with. She shares her daily outfit inspo on Instagram, and on her blog as well.

@shopvioletdc // When I first moved to DC (and still do), I loved exploring the various neighborhoods of the city (more like shopping my way through). I am a huge fan of supporting local businesses, so I really enjoy discovering a new shop or boutique.

A few years ago, I stumbled upon Violet Boutique in the Adams Morgan area. I absolutely loved the selection they offered, but more importantly, I was shocked at how decently priced everything was. A lot of boutiques up here tend to be very expensive and offer designer brands. With my young professional salary, I just can't afford that. So I was ecstatic to find Violet Boutique.

Y'all should definitely checkout their Instagram for outfit inspiration, and if you're in the DC area you should most certainly pop into the store. I'm heading there today actually to meet with the owner, Julie. I'm super excited to be working with Violet Boutique on a fun collaboration, coming soon!!

@amelia.xvi.styles // I'm SO excited to share with y'all a friend from college, fellow blogger and Tennessean... Amelia from The Sunday Styler blog. Millie and I met at the University of Tennessee, when we both were serving as sorority chapter presidents. She's such a sweet friend and has some amazing ambitions. She's even started her own business.

Millie hasn't been blogging long, but has amassed a HUGE following very quick. She has a very unique approach to her blog. All week she'll share black and white images of an outfit on her Instagram. Then on Sunday's, she'll share the full color images and outfit details on her blog!! It's a very unique idea and I know y'all will enjoy following her too!!
