Let me start off by saying, that I never thought I'd ever hear the words "summer reading list" come out of my mouth post high school. Honestly y'all, I dreaded the months in between school, simply because I didn't want to spend them reading required materials that were less than interesting to me. It always seemed like our teachers tried to choose the most boring options. Maybe it was just me though, but I hated reading growing up. Just hated it. Still don't extremely enjoy it, but reading has definitely grown on me as I've gotten older. That is, when I can find the time.
When I do find the time, I choose to either read magazines (I have close to 15 subscriptions... thanks Mom!) or educational books. Books that I can learn from, and will help me grow as a person or in my career.
So I've featured a few of my summer favorites above. I already told y'all I was loving the Leave Your Mark book, and I'm almost finished reading #GirlBoss. Yes I know, it has taken me about a year to finish this book. Good things take time, right? I also have been reading through Molly Sim's book and have used a few recipe's out of this entertaining book. While I'm lounging by the pool, my favorite magazines are InStyle, Southern Living (of course), Food & Wine, People StyleWatch, and Washingtonian. I try to stick with a wide variety of magazines, ranging from fashion to food.
